Yarrow is a white flower that is native to both the tall grass prairie and the eastern deciduous forests of North America, including Missouri. Medicinal uses for yarrow include clotting blood, relieving itchy rashes, and preventing infection.

Poultices can be made from the leaves and combined with plantain to effectively clot blood in wounds such as cuts and scrapes along with preventing infection from occurring. A tea can be made from the leaves as well to relieve itching.
