Willow

Willow
Salix babylonica

Willow can be found in the eastern deciduous forests in Missouri, and it offers a variety of medicinal uses, the most common of which is pain relief. The plant's bark can be made into a concentrate and taken by the spoonful to relieve pain and sometimes even reduce fever.

The main chemical that gives willow this property is salicin.
